Andrew Pennington

Andrew 2017 Andrew Pennington and his wife Cassie both grew up in the Frederick area and met during Andrew's senior year of high school. High school was a significant time for Andrew's faith. Although he had grown up in a Christian home and put his faith in Christ at a young age, it wasn't until the Christian summer camps he attended as a teen that he began to realize Christianity wasn't just a part of his life, but Christ was his life.

Cassie and Andrew dated long-distance throughout college while Andrew studied biology, hoping one day to attend medical school and become a doctor. They were married in 1996, a semester before Andrew graduated. Andrew applied to medical school, but God had other plans.

It was during this time that Andrew and Cassie believed God was leading Andrew into pastoral ministry where he eventually became the youth director at Frederick Baptist Church. After joining the church, Andrew also began taking classes at Capital Bible Seminary and Dallas Theological Seminary, receiving his Master of Divinity from Capital. In 2003, Andrew and Cassie returned East in order to serve as a pastor at Cherrydale Baptist Church in Arlington, VA.

In 2007, Andrew, Cassie and their two children sensed God calling them back to the Frederick area, and began attending Living Hope Community Church. As members, they served the church by caring for the single adults while Andrew was also working a full-time job in the scientific research field. In 2011, Andrew was officially brought onto the pastoral staff full-time and has been serving our youth and singles ever since.

Albert Turner

AlbertIn August of 1992, during a talk with his father about eternal salvation, Albert Turner's eyes were opened by God to believe the good news that Jesus Christ had paid for all of his sins—past, present and future—on the cross. "It was the greatest, most joy-filled day of my life," recalls Albert, "and it will remain so until I see Him face to face." "The second greatest day of my life," was September 8, 2007, "when I married my very best friend, Jennifer." Today, they have three children.

Albert and Jen spent their first few years of marriage in Chesapeake, VA, where Albert served at Redeemer Church leading worship and overseeing singles. Prior to this Albert had been a pastor for worship and small groups at Grace Bible Church in Northern Virginia. In June, 2010, Albert graduated from Sovereign Grace Ministries' Pastors College. He also holds a master’s degree in biblical exegesis from Capital Bible Seminary and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of William and Mary.
